Jamieson Simpson, CKD

Harrell Remodeling is proud to introduce you to one of our premier designers, Jamieson Simpson. Jamieson’s award-winning work, artistic instinct and his tireless pursuit of the “aha moment” lead to innovative designs and client satisfaction. From an early age Jamieson was sketching and drafting floor plans; it was evident he was bound for a career in design. His love of drawing prompted him to earn a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute after having studied at the Parsons School of Design and The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Inspired by a rewarding experience remodeling his own home, Jamieson turned his attention to studying interior design with an emphasis in kitchen and bath construction at Cañada College. While there he was awarded the Dr. Genevieve H. Cory Scholarship for Interior Design Excellence. After years of training, experience and a rigorous examination process, Jamieson earned the title of Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) from the National Kitchen and Bath Association. He is also a Certified Green Building Professional (CGBP). Although Jamieson’s grasp of the elements and principles of design is deep-seated, he asserts that a designer must possess a solid comprehension of construction and technical systems in order for a project to be successful. “A home is not only a true expression of its inhabitants, but also has great influence on a homeowner’s emotions and pride,” Jamieson remarks. “My goal is to relate to our clients’ needs and desires in a way that produces effective solutions.” Jamieson has worked closely with clients to design residential projects including whole house interior and exterior remodels, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry areas and outdoor kitchens. Besides having his work published in California Home and Design and other local publications, he has received numerous awards from the NKBA and NARI. In his spare time, Jamieson enjoys cycling, hiking and appreciates the culinary arts. Email: jsimpson@harrell-remodeling.com
