Rich

Rich Schouboe, CGBP

Rich was exposed to construction early in life, having a grandfather who was a general contractor and a father who was an engineer. His father constantly had building projects going on at home and even though Rich’s early role was that of a laborer he learned a great deal about construction under his father’s supervision and discovered the satisfaction of building something with his own hands. While studying geology at UCSC Rich started doing various construction projects to support himself and his studies. When he graduated in 1978 with a B.S. degree in Geology he decided that he liked construction more than science. After college Rich worked as a carpenter on various remodeling projects and custom homes and spent 3 years doing wood floor installations. He got his general contractor’s license, started his own business, and spent the next twenty years doing a variety of projects, including light commercial construction, historic renovation, and even a horse riding ring and barn complex, but his heart was always in residential remodeling. In early 1999 Rich joined Harrell Remodeling as a Lead Carpenter and was promoted to Site Manager and most recently to Field Manager. Rich loves working with clients and helping them to realize their dreams. His wide range of experience and passion about construction make him a great addition to the Harrell team.
